The V-Day Makeup Look You’ll Want To Try Now

When it comes to Valentine’s Day makeup, let’s be real – that full glam is more for yourself than anyone else. Beauty is self-love at its finest – but you might wanna switch it up a bit depending on your V-Day plans. Makeup ideas for date night depend on the vibe. A 5-course pasta dinner might call for a different lip look than the party and after-party with your friends. Regardless, you want to feel like the hottest version of yourself on Valentine’s Day night…and we totally got you covered.

We went straight to the source and asked the Morphe Head of Education, Ryane Michaels, for a buildable, easy-to-execute V-Day makeup look that’ll have you falling in love with your own damn self. Happy Valentine’s from your Morphe fam.

Set The Base

Whether it’s romance or party vibes this year, here’s how to create a flawless complexion to build on.

Step 1: Prime the skin with MorpheContinuous Prep & Set Mist+.

Step 2: Apply FilterEffect Soft Focus Foundation all over, then dot Filter Effect Soft Focus Concealer under the eyes, the tip of the nose, and center of chin to brighten. Blend it all out with a beautysponge.

Step 3: Highlight cheekbones, tip of nose, and inner corners of the eye with shade Pure Bliss from the 35Y Aurascape Artistry Palette.

Step 4: Take the Morphe M625 Three-in-One Brow Sculpting Brush and the Supreme
Brow Sculping & Shaping Wax
in your own tinted shade. Brush up and out for a lifted and tamed brow look. This sets the stage for your cute Valentine’s makeup.

For the First or Forever Date

Whether you just swiped right yesterday (bold), or you’ve been playing house for a decade, this is a romantic, easy Valentine’s Day makeup look you’ll love.

Step 5: Using the 35Y Aurascape Artistry Palette, we are going to create a flushed and flirty Valentine’s eye makeup look. Apply Soul Purpose, a matte burnt caramel, all over the lid. Then tap High Vibration, an amethyst shimmer, to the center of the lid. Line the bottom lid with Free Spirited, a warm matte rose. Smudge it out for a sultry finish, then apply MakeIt Big Volumizing Mascara.

Step 6: Create a pink glossy lip by slightly overlining your lips with Soulmatte Filling Gel Lip Liner in shade Dearest, following up with Soulmatte Velvet Lip Mousse in the same shade. Top with Dripglass Glazed High Shine Lip Gloss in shade Cosmic Coral.

For the Girls’ Night Out

Heading to the club instead? Do the above steps (minus lip), but let’s switch a few steps up so you’re dance-ready in your Valentine’s makeup.

Step 7: Create a dramatic cat eye over your Aurascape shadow look with the Make
It Big Brush-Tip Liquid Liner.

Step 8: On top of your smudge bottom lash line, top with shade Stargazer from the 35Y Aurascape Artistry Palette for a stunning silver finish. Blend it out.

Step 9: Instead of the above lip, line lips with Soulmatte Filling Gel Lip Liner in shade First Kiss, following up with Make It Big Plumping Lip Gloss in shade Haute Red.

Step 10: Set it all so it stays with Morphe Continuous Prep & Set Mist+.
